“STA Shows”, the brand project of practical teaching in Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA), is a comprehensive display platform for the teaching and learning results of teachers and students. The showcase performance activities of the “STA Shows” art season include students’ graduation productions and practice performances as well as various kinds of exhibitions and screenings of artistic creation works of teachers and students during in the course of teaching and learning.
This year's “STA Shows” will last for nearly three months from 22 March to 2 July. There are three highlights in this year's “STA Shows” art season: (1) summarize and review the art seasons (STA Shows) of the past seven years, and make a comprehensive display of the performances of the past seven years; (2) hold the international submit forum (theatrical valley) and master lecture (Liu Zhenyun) and other important events in addition to performances and exhibitions; (3) move the annual graduation display of stage design from indoor space to outdoor space, and add landscape spots in the campus to the devised works of students and to also add more artistic flavor to the campus.
“STA Shows” integrates lectern, stage and platform. It is a practice platform for producing talents, works, ideas and models. And, it is a space expansion to go beyond the university campus.
