Shanghai Municipal Committee of Communist Party of China (CPC) appoints Xie Wei as Secretary of CPC Committee of Shanghai Theatre Academy

On the morning of 9 April, the leaders of the Organizational Department of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee and the CPC Shanghai Municipal Working Committee for Education and Health came to the Shanghai Theatre Academy to announce the decision of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee on the appointment and removal of the leadership of the Shanghai Theatre Academy as follows: Xie Wei is appointed Secretary of the CPC Committee of the Shanghai Theatre Academy, and Lou Wei no longer serves as Secretary of the CPC Committee of the Shanghai Theatre Academy. The meeting was presided over by Yu Lijuan, Secretary of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Working Committee for Education and Health. Chen Xueqiang, Director of the Personnel Division of Publicity, Education, Science and Technology of the Organizational Department of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, read out the appointment and removal decision. Xie Wei, Party Secretary of the Shanghai Theatre Academy, and Huang Changyong, Deputy Party Secretary and President of the Shanghai Theatre Academy, made statements at the meeting. Leng Weiqing, Deputy Director-General of the Organizational Department of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, made a speech. Members of the CPC and administrative leaderships of the Shanghai Theatre  Academy, representatives of professors, representatives of retired officials and all members of the middle management on the CPC and administrative sides attended the meeting.

  

Xie Wei, male, born in February 1972, is of Han nationality, and is a native of Qidong,  Jiangsu Province. His educational background includes full-time undergraduate studies with a bachelor's degree in engineering and in-service postgraduate studies with a master's degree in management. He began his career in August 1993 and joined the Communist Party of China (CPC) in June 1996. He is currently Secretary of the CPC Committee of the Shanghai Theatre Academy.
