On 28 March 2019, in order to further improve the management of internal control, optimize the management process and improve the formation of systems, the relevant offices of the Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA) including the president’s office, audit office, finance office, personnel office, disciplinary commission and supervision commission, as well as the relevant members of the STA leadership, formed a joint inspection team and commenced the inspection and investigation of the first phase of internal control work in the conference room of the Performing Arts Center. The relevant persons in charge of internal control work from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, Shanghai Dance School affiliated to STA and STA College of Traditional Chinese Opera were also invited to join this round of inspection and investigation for exchange and learning.
The inspection and investigation work was carried out in a phased process mainly focusing on the five economic functions of asset management, procurement management, performance operation management, financial management and contract management involved in the establishment of the internal control system already completed last year. Chief Accountant Zhang Jiachun provided solutions and thoughts for improvement specific to the problems still existing in the current work. The relevant persons in charge of procurement management and performance operation management from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music shared their valuable experience. The participants from the Shanghai Dance School affiliated to STA and STA College of Traditional Chinese Opera expressed that they had benefited a lot from participating in these sessions and would go back to actively promote the wok of establishing internal control.
