From 22 to 30 March 2019, sent by the International Federation of Theatre Research (IFTR), a delegation of three people from Serbia, the host of the IFTR World Conference 2018, including Professor IVaNa VUJIB, visited the Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA) for a week to share their experience for the preparation of the IFTR World Conference 2019. The delegation and the relevant personnel of the STA International Exchange Center held specific discussions on various aspects of the preparation for the conference such as the opening and closing ceremonies, schedules, grouping of papers and volunteer service etc. The delegation shared valuable experience and provided the reminder of the various kinds of issues that may be encountered in the next phase of the preparatory process as well as during the conference.
Professor Gong Baorong, Dean of the STA International Institute, met with the Serbian guests. The two sides had friendly exchanges on Sino-Serbian theatre research, and expressed that the prospects of future cooperation were promising. As part of the visit, the Serbian guests went to STA’s Lianhua Road Campus and Hongqiao Campus where they observed the classes. Finally, the Serbian delegation sincerely wished the preparation for the IFTR World Conference 2019 a smooth process and a great success.
