Types of Programs
Full time program
Six level courses (A to F)are available to the beginner- advanced
learners.
●Content: grammar, speaking, listening, reading , writing and
HSK 5 tutoring class.
●Students should take placement test when they register.
Teaching hours and schedule
●20 class hours/week on Monday- Friday morning. Detailed
schedule will be released on the registration day.
Optional classes & extra-curriculum activities
●Taiqi, Chinese pronunciation, Q & A, Calligraphy etc.
Students shall apply for 1 semester or 1 academic year. One
semester is usually18-20 week long. Semesters & Application deadline:
●Spring semester: Feb - July every year.
Application deadline: Jan. 15 each year until full.
●Fall semester: Sept - Jan the next year.
Application deadline: July 1 each year until full.
Fee
Registration fee(only for new students): RMB400
Tuition: RMB9000/semester
Textbooks: RMB300/ semester
Part time program
Business Chinese (for those with HSK 3-4 certificates)
●Teaching hours & schedule 18:00- 20:00 on Monday - Thursday
evening. 8 hours/week
Semesters & Application deadline:
●Spring semester: Feb - July every year.
Application deadline: Jan. 15 each year until full.
●Fall semester: Sept - Jan the next year.
Application deadline: July 1 each year until full.
Fee

Qualification
●Valid foreign passport
●Age between18-60,with high school certificate(or equals)or above.
With physical and mental health.
Application
●Download the Application Form at http://iso.sta.edu.cn.
Complete it in Chinese or English.
●Pay registration fee RMB400 and tuition fee.
●Copy of valid passport (personal information and valid visa page)
●3 passport-sized photos
The materials can be submitted to the International Students Office
directly on application day or by post to the office.
Admission
●We will post the Admission Letter and JW202 Form to the students
within 20 working days after we receive and check the completed
application form and all required materials.

●Valid passport
New students shall register at the given time with all required materials
and clear all the fees. Any delay of admission must be approved by the
International Students Office. We maintain the right to cancel students’
visa in case of any admission delay without permission.

Visa
International students shall apply for XI (for more than180 days study
visa) or X2 ( for less than 180 days(included) study visa ) at the
Embassy or Consulate of the People’s Republic of China with the
Admission Letter, JW202 form, Health Report and other required
materials.
International students shall keep the Admission Letter, JW202 form
(the yellow page), etc, and bring them to China in order to process the
Residence Permit after their arrival.
Accommodation
International Students can apply for international students’ apartment
when they fill in the application form. Price: 50 RMB per day per person
in a double room. 100 RMB per day per person in a single room. All
apartment first-served basis.For those living off-campus, correct and
detailed address needs to be provided to the International Students’
Office.
Insurance
According to the regulations of Chinese Education Ministry,
international students should purchase mandatory Foreign Students
Overall Insurance during their stay in China. The
insurance fee is RMB 800 per year, RMB 400 for four to six months,
RMB 320 for three months, RMB 240 for two months and RMB 160 for
one month. The insurance will be paid by the students and processed
by the International Students Office.
