Shanghai Theatre Academy Visiting Scholar Program for Doctoral Students
1. Objectives
With the purpose of strengthening academic exchanges between Chinese young scholars and those of the world, enhancing the cultivation quality of our doctoral students, and facilitating the construction of our characteristic and key disciplines, Shanghai Theatre Academy invites international doctoral students of Chinese drama or Chinese culture for short-term scholar visits here,
2. Requirements for Applicants
（1） In the process of writing a doctoral dissertation
（2） Good Chinese proficiency
（3） Excellent in character and learning
（4） Adviser's recommendation
3. Optional Research Field （ Choose One）
（1） History of Chinese Theatre
（2） Chinese Modern and Contemporary Drama
（3） History or Current Situation of Chinese Performing Art
（4） Chinese Theatre Culture and Folk Culture Studies
（5） Comparative Studies Between Chinese Theatre and that of Other Countries.
4. Duration: Two to three months
5. Grants and Subsidies
（1） Round-trip flight tickets for economy class of international flight.
（2） A living and research grant of RMB 7,000 per month （ RMB 3,000 for accommodation, RMB 2,000 for living subsidies, and RMB 2,000 for researches）
