  Gao Zhizhong
Abstract: In the Ming Dynasty, eunuchs took charge of the three theatrical troupes of the Bells and Drums Office, Si Zhai, and Yuxi Palace and took on almost all the theatrical performances in the imperial palace. The plays in which eunuchs acted mostly embody rites and music, decrees and regulations, popularity and rusticity, climate, time and religion. These artistic features are a comprehensive demonstration or implication of the palace customs in the Ming Dynasty.

Criticism on the Chinese Experimental Theater in the 1990s
  Chen Wenyong
Abstract: The Chinese Experiment Theater in the 1990s incorporated many deficiencies and shortcomings, which can be summarized in the following points: experimental playwrights had more or less the tendency to produce stereotypical and conventionalized plays, which then obstructed their deep exploration and undermined their enthusiasm. With decreasing exploring spirits, they put too much emphasis on intuitive feelings and despised theories and literature, leading to the lack of vitality in characters. Moreover, they liked to deconstruct traditional ideology and values and even advocated anti-enlightenment and vulgarity.
