On 12 September, the opening ceremony of the Shanghai Theatre Academy-City University London Cultural Creative Industry Program and the Shanghai Theatre-Academy-New York Film Academy Bachelor Degree Bridging Program was held at the broadcasting hall of the Virtual Studio of the Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA) as scheduled. Prof Huang Changyong, Vice President of STA and Dean of College of Creative Studies, and Mr Wang Xiaoming, Chief Representative of NYFA China Cooperative Programs & guest professor, and Mr Li Liwei, Vice Chairman of Shanghai Xiehe Education Group attended the opening ceremony. Participants from the College of Creative Studies also included Mr Liu Zhixin, Vice Dean, Mr Fang Jun, Party Secretary and Ms Yang Qingqing, head of Fashion Arts Studio, as well as the relevant teachers.
Prof Huang Changyong and Mr Wang Xiaoming delivered speeches at the opening ceremony. The opening ceremony of these Chinese-British and Chinese-US joint programs symbolized that the internationalized education of the College of Creative Studies has entered into a new stage of development. The College of Creative Studies will carry out long-term cooperation with the two partner institutions in the areas of education and teaching, teacher training and student exchange etc. The bachelor degree bridging program with NYFA is a newly establishment program on the basis of the successful experience of running the City University London program. It is believed that with the joint efforts of both sides, this Chinese-US joint program will become another popular brand of international cooperation of the College of Creative Studies.
