On 13 September 2014，the signing ceremony of the letter of intent on cooperation between the Shanghai Theatre Academy's College of Creative Studies and Accademia Del Lusso, as well as the plaque unveiling ceremony of the Shanghai Theatre Academy-Accademia Del Lusso, were held in the Ground Floor meeting room of the Foxi Building on STA’s Huashan Road campus. The participants included: Huang Changyong (STA Vice President), Pietro Polidori (Chief Executive of CEPU Education Group, Italy), Wu Qi (General Manager, CEPU Asia), Livia Papacchini (China Spokesperson, Accademia Del Lusso) and relevant teachers and persons-in-charge of STA’s College of Creative Studies.
For the purpose of cultivating creative personnel with international competitiveness, STA’s College of Creative Studies has established the International Project Centre (www.sta-international.org.cn). So far, the centre has set up collaborative education programs with City University London, New York Film Academy, Universite Lumiere Lyon II and Ecole Nationale Superieure des Arts et Techniques du Theatre (ENSATT). It will also be signing the letter of intent on cooperation with UNITEC, New Zealand soon. Now, the establishment of the Shanghai Theatre Academy-Accademia Del Lusso Creative Fashion Centre will add significant fashion elements into the international cooperation programs of STA.
Both Prof Huang Changyong, Vice President of STA and Mr Pietro Polidori, Chief Executive of CEPU expressed that the establishment of Shanghai Theatre Academy-Accademia Del Lusso Creative Fashion Centre will promote the industry-university cooperation in the fashion industry and make a contribution to the cultivation of internationalized Chinese fashion talents.
