This year, the Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA) and Montclair State University of USA undertook a program in which the students of both universities worked collaboratively to create a microfilm.
In early April, the students of both universities discussed and finalized the script of the film by means of video conference. In mid July, both sides went through the selection of actors and actresses and undertook the collaborative filming in New Jersey. On 7 August, the finished microfilm “Immortal Shakespeare” and an accompanying documentary were shown at the Montclair State University. On the day, the university held a lawn reception in celebration of this successful educational exchange in film creation, and the local TV station also came to cover the event with interviews and reports.
