In the afternoon of 9 June, Prof Han Sheng, President of Shanghai Theatre Academy, met with Mr Arnon Perlman, Consul General of Israel in Shanghai and his wife. The Consul General’s visit to STA was only one month after his arrival at posting and this has reflected the high level of importance that he attaches to art education. President Han Sheng told the guests that STA has many international exchange and cooperation programs such as the International Masters Workshop and International Small Theatre Festival for which the participation of institutions from Israel are warmly welcome. In the area of art education, the two sides may also work together in the form of exchanging visits by teachers and/or students and sharing educational achievements, thereby promoting the mutual understanding and common prosperity. With much delight, Mr Perlman expressed that he will proactively promote the exchange and cooperation between the art institutions in Israel and STA and that he looks forward to seeing the realization of such exchange and visits at the earliest possible time.
