In the morning of 6 June, the first Nanchong International Puppet Art Week was concluded with a great success in Nanchong, Sichuan Province. 23 teams from 19 foreign countries and 22 teams from across China participated in this week-long event. The team of the Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA) was the only student team. The STA team won the Rising Star Award, a special recognition by the organizing committee, and was highly commended by both the Chairman and Secretary-General of UNESCO International Puppet Association.
